Originally by: Zievarrenna How exactly does one load a fit from an XML file? I found the import dialogue, but when I got to "Import Fit from XML..." and the little window pops up, while the cursor changes when I hover the mouse over "Open XML Files Folder", clicking it does nothing.
Am I missing a folder in the setup directory? Where should I save xml files that someone sends me to view in EFT?
EVE xml files go into your documents\eve\fittings folder. Then open eft and import window. You should be able to see the fittings now. Check the ones you want to import. ..................................................

SUGGESTION
Have cap adding items show how much they add. Items already show -X when they spend cap. Adding cap items could show a +X ..................................................

Newest version of EFT will not let me connect to my APIs.
Screen Shot
Have tried running as Administrator and in various compatibility modes, no success.
I'm running win7 64bit, eft works fine. Try taking a look at your api access id and hash, verify they are the same ..................................................

This definitely fixed the issue I was running into. Did I miss something during setup or in the FAQ which detailed the creation of this directory?
EVE makes it's folders automatically and as needed. If you haven't used the ingame fittings window the folder might not have been created. Or it was a bug. Difficult to say. You didn't miss a step, for sure.

Originally by: Daeleil Edited by: Daeleil on 03/06/2010 04:24:41 I'm getting an "invalid file name" error on running EFT.exe after unzipping the file. Clicking OK starts the program and gives an access violation error. Is there something I'm missing? or maybe the DL is corrupted? I have the following files in the folder:
Changes.txt config.ini EFT.exe EFt.exe.manifest FAQ.txt
I'll try downloading the file and unzipping again...
Update: DL'd from the Alt mirror 1 link, it lists a lot of Data files on that page that are just not there when the file is unzipped. I think the zip file is crapped. Alt mirror 2 does not exist. Can anyone else verifiy this or am I just missing something?
I tried alt 1, worked fine. Didn't download it though. Try another browser. Sounds like you have corrupted system files or an unstable net connection. Something is interfering your download because the zip should be fine. When you run eft make sure it's from a folder which has write permissions or maybe full control. ..................................................

SUGGESTION
Have eft use the extended api and show ships active fittings. If there is another tool that does this, which? ..................................................
